Organization
Irving RACES/ARES is a membership only organization of registered volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to assist the Irving Department of Emergency Management in times of need.
Activities
Our organization assists the City of Irving in a number of different ways which include, but are not limited to:
- Storm Spotting during inclement weather conditions
- Natural and Man-Made disasters
- Fires
- Floods
- City-Wide Power Outages
- Communications support for city events
- Parades
- Neighborhood Patrol during special holidays (such as Halloween)
- Community Parties
History
For over twenty years, the Irving RACES/ARES Organization has been assisting the city in numerous capacities. With thousands of hours of dedicated volunteer communications work, the organization has become an invalueable part of the communities emergency response system.
